Our Mission

Payton Grogan (one of our team members) came to bible study on Wednesday, November 19, with an overflowing passion in her heart and excitment in her voice as she shared with us the breakout session she attended at the ACU girls conference where Pam Cope shared about their Touch A Life Foundation and The Village of Hope orphanage in Ghana and that's where the story starts for the "God Girls" of Clyde.

Payton knew she was suppose to go, and after sharing and praying and personally talking to Pam Cope, many of the girls in our bible study knew God was asking the same of us. It was a defining moment in God's plan for us and we can't begin to imagine the life changing events that will be taking place over the next few months, but we do know that we trust God and we have said YES to being radically obedient to His calling to go to Ghana.

We will be a part of a group of 30 volunteers joining Randy and Pam Cope, and Mai Lai, Director of the Children's Art Village to help facilitate an art, music and photography camp at the Village of Hope Orphanage. Along with the blessing of helping with the art and music classes, Tracy and I will have the huge blessing of sharing the gifting of faithbooking (click on the faithbooking button on the right to see and read all about it) with the 150 5th - 8th grade children at the orphanage. Each child will receive their very own faith album to journal and document their God stories and blessings with photographs they have already and with photographs we will take during the week. This has been a part of our ministry for over 10 years and we are overjoyed to be able to share in loving and teaching these children the gift of faithbooking and to know their faith albums can be kept forever so they can remember the praise worthy deeds of the Lord in their lives!

Tracy and I are honored to not only share in this amazing mission with the group we will meet up with in New York, but also our daughters, and five other Spirit filled daughters of the King from Clyde, TX. We wil be staying on site at The Village of Hope orphanage in Ghana for the duration of our 10 day mission trip where we will love, serve, teach and I know, fall desperately in love with these beautiful children of God!

The approximate cost of our mission trip is $3500 per person. The flight to Ghana costs around $2000 and we will have an additional flight expense from DFW to JFK in New York. After that our finances will cover room and board, food, insurance, our visa and we are blessed to have a portion of our trip not only pay for all the art and music supplies for the week, but also we will be helping purchase art supplies for the Village of Hope for the school year.
